The Bitterroot River that runs through our valley is famous for fly fishing. Get a local guide as the river can be treacherous at times.
There are two lakes on Forest Service land with public access for boating and swimming: Lake Como, 7 miles from us; and Painted Rocks Lake, 15 miles from us. Take a nature hike, go mountain biking, or 4-wheeling. Check in at the Forest Service Office in either Hamilton or Darby and get a hiking trail or motor vehicle trail guide. With the Forest Service and National Wilderness as close as 10 minutes its easy to enjoy the outdoors.
